Hi Gilbert
I refer to your post as in the para below. I will try to be brief and
entirely impersonal unless this is totally unavoidable for reasons of
communication:

"Cornel refuses to answer the questions and provide a full disclosure about
himself and his family. Has he invited the castes he champions to his home to
break bread and meet his children? And sincerely hoping for a long fruitful
relation?"

  1. I regret not finding this request of yours earlier on Goanet. However, as
I would never dream of ever asking you about your family on a public forum, I
fail to understand why I should do this re a private personal matter, as from
my perspective, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Goanet posts.

  2. I did read your exchange with Roland with some interest. Suffice to say
that your views appeared incredibly traditional about grown up children and
the seeming necessary role of parents in their choice of spouses. I therefore
really wondered why you did not stay on in Goa with such traditional
expectations rather than opting to live in an increasingly multi-cultural North
America and the West generally. I am happy to say that I think rather
differently from you. I believe that, grown up, and often highly
educated/professionalised Goan children in the West can definitely work things
out for themselves perfectly well and should indeed do so. However, they should
always receive a parental opinion if needed and requested by them.

  3. I restate only because you seem to need my reiteration that, I am opposed
to all caste/casteism among Catholic Goans because the two belief systems
(Catholicism and Hindu caste) are totally incompatible. This view of mine, for
three years (as well as of others) has not been challenged by a single
Goanetter with informed standing and reputation and not even by you!. Sadly,
however, Catholicism in Goa has been contaminated by caste adherents and
consequently, some live off it parasitically. This also relates to the export
of such contamination as currently evidenced to Portugal via the Portuguese
passport route.

  4. I am now quite bored of this 'Caste among Catholic Goans' subject and
would prefer if you did not bring it up repeatedly please unless it relates to
something intelligent you have encountered and it has not been addressed to
date. If I do not answer your further questions on this topic it will be
because I have chosen not to respond to your endless repetition.

5 Another reason I should like you NOT to raise further questions to me on
the theme of caste/casteism is BECAUSE you have studiously avoided answering
mine and other people's questions to you in the first instance. If you have
forgotten what these are, please ask!

Good wishes for the New Year too.
  Regards
  Cornel
