I have nothing against GMAS but...I will criticise it when it does wrong, threatening "ugly turns" and "untoward incidents" for one or hijacking a student association for another. I am not anti-BJP. Ask Manohar Parrikar or Shripad Naik or Laxmikant Parsekar [incidentally my mother's student] or Francis D'Souza [Patron member of Britto's OBA alumni association of which I am still the Secretary]. They know me. So do many others. I will criticise the BJP for the dastardly circulation of the VCD "Goa's Freedom Struggle" in schools on 18 Dec. 2004 [the BJP Govt. paid a price for that, though I gave the VCD to Matanhy and he kept quiet about it] I am a strong supporter of Manohar Parrikar as MLA of Panaji and even a permanent Leader of the Opposition. Plenty of postings will bear this out. Corruption in Congress is not news. We need to keep check on it. During BJP regimes, dissent is not even possible. I am on NO ego trip. You state your point, I state mine. If you prove me wrong, I will not justify myself. I will simply apologise and move on. When I am right, the other can move on by doing the same. As simple as that. I also have no hang-ups about KA, MH and GJ number plates like Rajan Parrikar and others. I studied in Bangalore. Plenty of Goans living and working there. There is even a Karnataka Goan Association in Bangalore like the Kannada Samajam in Panaji. I am a gaunkar of Mapusa, Portuguese National by birth, and INDIAN citizen since 1961.
