Let me use Miguel's posting (message 12, dated 9/1/08) written in response to Nigel Britto's posting (Message dated Tue, 8 Jan 2008 under subject Valmiki's SEZ Ramayana) and insert corrections / suggestions which probably I feel right and which Miguel may not agree with and will respond with MOG.no problem.
Miguel's line: Absolutely! Pratapsingh Raoji Rane even amended the law to revoke the Regional Plan 2021. Correction: Pratapsingh revoked controversial Regional Plan 2011 due to public pressure. Regional Plan 2021 is yet to come, which is expected to come with same contents but with contractors and mining lobby's flavor. Wait and watch and be ready with your pen..to write. Miguel's line: I remember another CM who was in a similar position in early 2004 ...and he went right ahead with the IFFI in the face of all opposition by the people of Goa. He was NOT a Congress CM, if I remember correctly. Suggestion: Why feel shy naming when you are so much out spoken. What is congress doing when they had vehemently opposed IFFI celebrations than? Why they did not scrap the IFFI from Goa when they came back to power? They have so far celebrated 3 IFFIs. OR are you trying to say that IFFI celebrations by Congress are okay. In fact, in the interest of our posterity, Goa should not be a permanent venue in Goa no matter who is in power. Miguel's line: He knocked off the "Pros" from Baina and brought in the "Cons" from Delhi ...and we lived happily ever after ;-) He forever changed the description of the "job" or the "trick". That is efficiency. Correction: Are you disturbed by knocking off the "Pros" from Baina? Secondly, "Cons" are not brought by that person who knocked off "Pros" from Baina for he was not the CM thereafter. Delhi "Cons" are brought by Congress regime. What you have to say now? In this point Miguel mismatched intellectual encounter - missed synchronizing the rhythm - while trying to counter the words "Pros" and "Cons" used by Nigel Britto.
