We speak about the Baptism of Jesus Christ. Even though he was the son of the
Living God he wanted baptism. He went to the river for baptism before he
started his ministry. At the time God showed the world that Jesus was the son
of God. We all have receive baptism at a very young age but have you received
the spiritual baptism which is really needed to build up connection with the
Lord ? we have to be in union with the Almighty God.After Jesus was arrested
all his disciples ran away for they were frightened. Only few remained with him
but not close to him. Peter who was all along very close to Jesus was
frightened to say that he was the disciple of Jesus and denied him. After Jesus
rose to Heaven the disciples were so frightened that they remained in prayer in
close room. But the day they received the Holy Spirit the frightened Peter
became roaring lion. The uneducated Peter became the master of divinity only
through the Holy Spirit. Did you receive the Holy Spirit ? To be wi
th the Lord one must follow the ten commandments. The very first commandment
says that we have to be one in heart with the Lord. and to do this one must
first be in union with God.s creations. Love God through your neighbours.
Unless and until we love our fellow person our religion is man made religion
even if you put a title "Christian on your forehead." You have to love your
fellow man. First learn to love yourself. eating too much and drinking too much
and not looking after your health one cannot understand the meaning of love.
Love your parents, spouse and children. Accept children as gift from God.
