'Konkani Kullvar, Kuwait' a Konkani Writer's Forum in Kuwait, is
organizing a One-day Seminar by Mr. Dolphy F. Lobo (Dolphy Cascia), a
well-known Konkani Writer, Novelist and Journalist, who is in Kuwait at present
on a visit with his family.
Seminar will be on Friday, 22nd of February from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm. The
venue will be announced very soon.
Mr. Dolphy Cascia will conduct a seminar on Short Stories and review the Book
'Kullvarchem Dirvem' which was written by various Kullvar Members, published in
last August and dedicated to Late Johny Suratkal.
This will be a golden chance to meet such a great and famous Konkani Writer
like Mr. Doplhy Cascia as he is known as an All-rounder in Konkani World. With
his vast experience in almost all fields in Konkani, surely will be a memorable
event for Konkani Writers in Kuwait.
On Friday 04th January 2008 at 06.00 pm Kullvar Members held a meeting with
Mr. Dolphy Cascia at Mr. Ivan Almeida's residence in Abu-halifa. Mr. Lancy
Pinto Nayak, the convenor of Kullvar gave a brief introduction. Mrs. Janet
Almeida, coordinator, greeted Mr. Cascia with flowers and presented a brief
introduction on his Achievements in Konkani. Mr. Cascia spoke on his personal
experience in Konkani Literature, Journalism, Drama Activities and related
topics. He answered all the queries of Kullvar Members with a great bliss and
told that, he also will be a member of Kullvar till he is in Kuwait and all
Kullvar Members should be the members of all Konkani Writer's Associations in
Motherland. In this short meeting with Mr. Cascia, the Kullvar Members were
impressed by his simple and down to earth nature.
Around twelve members of Kullvar including M/s. Prashant Ferrao, Shaan
Bondel, Ivan Almeida, L. J. D'Souza, Rocky Lewis, Austin Brahmavar, Gibba
Kulshekar, Lancy Pinto Nayak, Olivera Flavia, Janet Almeida and Vrinda Lewis
attended the meeting.
All the Konkani Lovers, especially who have an interest in literature are
cordially invited to attend the seminar which will be held on 22nd of February.

The seminar will include lunch and fun followed by ratification on Short
Stories by Mr. Dolphy Cascia.
