To Goanet -
I finished reading "Domnic's Goa" last night and it was an
enjoyable read. The author Domnic Fernandes is a good
raconteur and his vignettes brought back many of my own
childhood images, some of which had receded deep into
the interstices of my memory.
Today I was loitering at the Central Library and was shown
a new book, "Remembering Goa," by the author herself (Lourdes)
who is a Senior Librarian there. These firsthand accounts of
a time gone by assume even more significance now with all
the ongoing wanton destruction of the beautiful things in our
midst.
