Why my first letter/mail didn't get a reply? Well, you may have put a similar question to your self. So, why he/she didn't reply you? The possible answers are:
The recipient is.. -Too busy -Does not like you -Not interested in you or your mail -May simply thinks that 'reply' is not necessary. -Forgot about it. -Has received but accidentally deleted without even reading -Thought (by the subject line, often blank, or just RE etc) that the mail is junk and hence deleted How about the 'recipient never got your mail'? No, this can't be true as my mail never come back to me undelivered. OK, have you ever thought your mail may have filtered into the recipients Bulk Mail folder (Junk Mail) ? This is quite possible. You are writing to him/her for the first time remember? What are bulk folders? All mails which are deemed to be or identified as 'spam' or 'junk' by the mail programme are atomically filtered into the bulk folder which most recipients don't even bother to open or read. One may think that one mail programme will identify a mail as junk only when coming from another mail programme e.g. Yahoo to rediff and vice versa. Mails coming from within the same mail programes are also identified as spam. Recently, I found 3 mails (not spam) in the bulk folder where there were over 50 mails and one of which came from yahoo.co.uk i.e. yahoo to yahoo It is advisable to quickly go through the junk mail folder before deleting it all, you never know, an important mail (from a first timer or admirer) may have been gone there. It is also advisable (when writing for the first time) to copy in to another ID of the recipient if known [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] So, be it your first love letter or any other letter/mail don't always jump to a wrong conclusion. I was not aware of this things could happen and I always deleted my bulk mail folder without even looking into it.
