Medieval era france was not a democracy. We are a
democracy ( at least on paper ).
Are you suggesting that if a critical mass of people
believe that a particular law is unfair or unjust, it
is ok for them to break it and get away with it?
let me digress...not too long ago a minority place of
worship was built illegaly on government land..the
prevaling "law" was ineffective and the "people" took
it upon themselves to set a perceived wrong ,right.
Would your bastille analogy be still valid?
