In a functioning democracy, the questions below would be fair questions.
However, given the
anti-people governments of the past 15 years in Goa, powerful special interests
destroying Goa and
the common person, and the inability of institutions or the bureaucracy to
assist the average
working class person in Goa, it is not surprising that the villagers resort to
justice in this
manner. When powerful, greedy groups plant their feet on your head and try and
bury you alive and
no one comes to your rescue, what is one supposed to do?

George

Dear All:

Following he action of the colomb villagers, the following questions arise,
which i fel are very
important

1. was the fomentos mine operating legally as per the existing laws ? whether
the existing law is
fair or not is not the issue.

2. was the intimidatory action of the villagers legal? prima facie it doesnt
seem so.

3. Finally, is mobocracy going to be the prefered solution to pressing problems
facin goa ,like
mining, garbage issue and other burning problems?

I would appreciate if these questions are discussed.
