Jan 30, 2008: In a late breaking development, Azad Maidan
will will not be available for purposes of pissing, defecating,
littering & loitering on the morning of Jan 30 as the said
area will be utilized to pay lip service to Mahatma Gandhi.
Our ghati guests are invited to use other prime areas of the
city as their temporary toilet until 12 noon after which time
Azad Maidan will once again revert to being a piss-pot.
Inconvenience caused to our ghati brethren is deeply
regretted. The ragpickers who have been temporarily
dislocated as a result of this important function may
report to the Goa Medical Hospital complex for free food
and accommodation for the night.
