Its a sad day when we men have to make excuses & give reasons why some of us
cannot control ourselves because they are starving for sex.............
Its down to education, nothing more and nothing less. If there was some
inbalance in the numbers of male / female population, nature introduces
homosexuality, bi-sexuality etc to help the inbalance. This is not to say
that sexual orientation for the former or the latter is in any way a
negative, its just nature & we accept it. Well the majority of the world
accepts it, perhaps some religions dont because homosexuals do not
procreate, the only reason that it is seen as a "sin" so the numbers of that
religion do not increase.
There is no other explanation (please dont say God said it was a sin....& so
we will stone you to death, bury you alive, or hang you, or imprison you,
these things were done to homosexuals over the centuries, all of them, in
the name of religion........... all because God said it was a sin & so on).
Men CAN control themselves if they are EDUCATED to respect women. Some of us
guys when we were younger (and probably some of us are still) able to wine &
dine a lady, take the lady out and give her a good time, make her laugh &
all the other little bits of conversation she needs to relax
her.............. the rest of course is history.
We cannot and must not say that men (Indian or otherwise) only go for
certain types of women to molest, this is nonsense. Its possible that only
the "white" women take control of an abusive situation with a stranger in
public, or will fight back or complain of molestation, be it pinching a
bottom or stroking a thigh, or something more unacceptable, such as rape.
The hundreds of thousands of Indian women raped by their male RELATIVES
every day, by strangers too no doubt, but it is more common for a woman or
female child to be sexually abused by a male relative who DO NOT COMPLAIN to
the police or speak of it to anyone are the silent victims of this crime.
I do not lessen the cost of any victim, be they white or black, brown or
otherwise, I am aghast that some of us here can give reasons or make excuses
for the behaviour of the male in an act of abuse to any woman or female
child.
All molesters are deserving of severe punishment, though I do not believe
castration or beatings will deter future criminals (for this is what they
are), or those punished in commiting further offences against their partners
or other female members of their family or to strangers, I believe that
locking them up for long periods of time is the only way forward.
A castrated male WILL use other implements to carry out a rape, possibly
inflicting permanent injury, maiming them or even worse, because this is not
only a sexual crime we are talking about here, its also to dominate the
victim, to ensure less resistance next time or to shame or degrade the
female victim.
The majority of these type of crimes are commited by men against women, but
we all know, there are other versions of sexual abuse as diverse as the
human race but I am not commenting on these here, the purpose of my post is
to say to all us guys, when you next see a male friend, a male relative or a
male colleague, or even a male stranger making unrequited advances towards a
female, no matter what age they are, please dont let it pass.
It all starts with a silly comment amongst a group of us, we laugh and we
let is pass, thinking quietly behind our smiles "....idiot, why is he saying
such things....." or words to that effect. Inside we feel stupid for not
saying something, letting comments pass. At a party this is tenfold true,
we observe these things but we are so desensitized these days, that we do
nothing about it, now we can.
This type of behaviour may be just "banter" or showing our equals we are the
"alpha male" when in fact the person doing it is below contempt, and should
be knocked down off his perch before he goes onto the next stage, from
verbal to physical. It may not be the same woman he abuses, it may well be
his wife when he gets home.
How would you feel if the woman he abuses was your sister, you mother, or
friend? Too late to say "If only I had said something to him
earlier.................." well you could have done, so next time do say
something. Keep the level of conversation low but above the belt.......
Dont make make excuses for us men in this patriarchal society, we have it
all, most of the time or always. Time to EDUCATE & unite us as equals.
Women too are our equals or should I say, we men are their equals, after all
to make up to 100% of the population, we must agree that the other 50% are
welcome in the same pond. Eh?
