Goa to host 42nd National Cross Country Championship

PANAJI: Asian gold medalists Preeti and Prija Shreedharan would be the star
attractions at the 42nd national cross country championship, to be held here
on February 16. "This is for the second time Goa is hosting the event and we
are expecting around 1500 participants, including 16 local athletes," Goa
athletic association President Fransisco Sardinha told reporters here on
Thursday.
The race will be held in five different categories for both men and women.
It would begin from Colva covering Benaulim, Margao, Dharmapur before
concluding at Nehru stadium in Margao.
