It is now three days since Manohar Parriker threw down the gauntlet. He asked our Digambar Chief Minister to sbstantiate the allegation that, he, Parriker had held a meeting with SEZ promoters in Mumbai and plotted the downfall of the Congress government. Our upright and honest chief minister has even claimed that he knows the flat in Mumbai where the meeting took place. I can understand Digambar's problem. I am sure he has been reliably told about this alleged meeting. The problem is he will probably have to get permission from Madam Sonia Gandhi before he can release such sensitive information. So, we should be patient and give him a few more days.
However, what about supporters of SVM like Pravin Sabnis? They should be eager to chart the downfall of Parriker. Did SVM not make the same claim albeit a few days before Digambar? What about detractors of BJP in general and Parriker in particular like Vidyadhar Gadgil and Mr Frederick Noronha? Come on guys, this is your chance to get this man out of politics forever. Will we get some proof from the convenor of SVM? Let us get the proof. Shouldn't be difficult, should it? This is put up or shut up time, friends. Anil Desai
