Comment:
1.Dr Anand you have made a useful suggestion. I look forward to the response
especially from BJP/RSS members/supporters on Goanet.
2.You have wrongly catergorised Catholics as Congress supporters. Most
Catholics vote for Congress because there is no viable alternative.BJP is ruled
out for obvious reasons. So also MGP because it stands for Marathi, merger with
Maharashtra and also soft saffron. Witness the Dhavalikar brothers hobnobbing
with the HJS. That leaves outfits like the UGDP and SGF which are discredited
parties.
3. I still feel that Goa Su Raj Party should be given a second look because
they stand for all the values and concerns that we have been talking on Goanet.
They represent what we desire. In short a people's party whose time has come.
No doubt they have fared poorly in the past. But if we look at history, there
has been a precedence. In 1977 the Janata Party was newly formed but went on to
win the polls and vanquish the mighty Congress only with people's support. They
had no money power nor muscle power.
