Can jose provide the details of any attack before that? jc's response: May I preface my remarks by stating that I condemn Godse for killing the Mahatma, and the GOI for killing Godse. There is NO justification for killing anybody. GOI justified the Godse killing as just retribution for the Gandhi murder, while Bhandare and the Rt Wing chaps justify the Gandhi killing because of the 52 crores. BUT ...Did Mahatma Gandhi go on fast because of the 52 crores issue? (as Bhandare has stated) Now, I state here - that there were at least 6 attempts on the life of the Mahatma. I had not stated hitherto that Godse had attacked the Mahatma before. Bhandare (in his moving goal post technique) has done so. It is my information that Godse was involved in at least one other attempt. (I will try access the trial records - if they are accessible through lexis nexis) HOWEVER .....before I do that, I would like Bhandare to 'provide ANY evidence' that Mahatma Gandhi went on a fast because of the 52 crores. I submit that there was a definitely different cause for the fast..... and NOT the 52 crores. BUT ...let us await Bhandare's 'evidence' of the primary charge he has made ...
