Hello
My name is Kurt Almeida and I am a sophomore at Univ. California Santa Cruz. I
would like to
invite you to participate in this year's Easter Event (March 23) for Goa
Sudharop. The theme is
"Year of Education" and for the event there will be some presentations. Each of
you will get 4 hrs
of community service credit for all the pre-work involved and also presenting
your project at the
event.
You may submit any of the following or if not here let me know what you wish to
present:
1) Any research project that is related to subjects taught in schools.
2) Physical models such as bridges, boats, volcanoes, hand-made instrument,
weather project, etc. and related ideas that you have learned in schools.
3) A poster that exhibits something you did in any of your classes. For
example,
a poster showing the steps that must be taken to make a clipboard in
woodshop,
or a poster showing the parts and functions of a cell.
4) Show a live experiment demonstrating an application.
This is similar to a Science Project but open to all subjects taught in your
school. Please make
sure whatever you do is related to something taught in schools or that is part
of a subject of
interest. If possible, try to bring actual model and show how it works.
Please feel free to go beyond just a simple project that relates to Science. It
could be something
along the lines of an important life-changing events in history, art movements,
or maybe teaching
us how the political system works. BE CREATIVE.
As long as you relate your idea with a subject it should be fine. Please
provide: Name, Phone
number, email and email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] with your project description.
If you have a name for your project please include it. If you are unsure how it
relates, send your
idea anyway and I will be glad to assist you in the process. Please submit your
idea and a brief
description of your project to include in your certificate no later than March
5th. You may bring
your project directly to the Event for your presentation.
