What is Goa Carnival? Stree Dancing with King MOMO= goa Carnival Street dancing with loud music = Goa Carnival Street dancing with traffic jam= Goa carnival Street dancing with young girls and boys = Goa Carnival Street dancing with kids as young as 5 = Goa Carnival ( so many kids seen dancing in the street as well as on the vehicles at Panjim carnival parade) So far, the streets of Panjim, Margao, Vasco, Mapusa, Calaangute, Anjuna, Curtorim, Quepem, Sanvordem, Taleigao, Cortalim, Sacoale, Velsao, Cansaulim etc are covered. Next year, another 5 may be added and so on and by the year 2012. 'Street dancing' will be the essential part of Goa Carnival definition. In other words, street dancing would also mean traffic jam thus putting the general public to a great inconvenience as it was done by Cortalim MLA whose carnival floats started from Cortalim junction and the street dancing continued for 15 kms stretch via Sacoale, veslsao to Cansaulim. Street dancing, is this the traditional carnival? Btw, when the street dancing or floats started in Goa? 30 years ? So, what is traditional carnival then ? Anyone?
