So that you don't embarrass yourself further, let me gently get you going. Take some time off from the keyboard and get hold of "River Out of Eden" by Richard Dawkins. It is a popular exposition. Once you have digested that, you could move to the works of Stanford's professor, Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza, who specializes in population genetics and who has a number of beautiful popular expositions. Oh, and by the way, I know a ghati who says that 1000 years ago, during the Kadamba period, his ancestors owned a plot on what is the exact spot where your house now sits. I trust that you will vacate and let the poor man take custody of what is rightfully his.
