Hi Rajan, I have said before I personally wrote a letter to Porrikar, to take some action to look after the disabled and the blind walking on the foothpath in Panjim. As a matter of fact the foothpaths and roads in Panjim, does need a - 'once over'. NOTHING IS DONE - by either party. If Goa PEOPLE were efficient, there was no need for the NRI's to be given a special ID card to lable them as NRIs and robbed.
If a minister goes abroad to study the way, others run their country (like Sardinha did), Sena activists in Goa linked to the BJP take over and make a mess of Goa even more. Porrikar is a snake in the grass waiting to make a mess of Goa, building big projects (like Saddam), for personal glory at taxpayers expense, while the poor are neglected. Are the others any better? As the saying goes, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. This has been proved when Goa gave BJP a chance to rule, it went from bad to worse, some Goanetters have got a short memory. Again, Goa once bitten is twice shy (of BJP). You may be taking pictures. Don't forget, the MLA's in opposition have got a lot of power to question the wrong doings. (so much so that Cameron is making mince meat out of Brown in UK). Why are the Goa MLA's quiet? Do I have to come to Goa to ask them this question? Are the BJP as corrupt as the Cong.? (waiting to do the same, when given a chance - hence the silence?). If given a chance ,YOU too would be out of Goa in a flash. Why aren't you out of Goa? For some people uncertainty is not their best forte, while people like me thrive on it. $25/- in my pocket (that is all the India Govt. would let me bring in 1960) I took the chelange and won. I don't think I would have been able to do that in India. Come back to Goa and do the same? well, many a wise men have said and I agree with them. India changes you - you cannot change India (same goes to Goa). ED. -------- Rajan Said: To that end, every single contribution counts. So again, I invite you to come aboard instead of merely standing on the sidelines, using the keyboard as an antidote for your finger itch. Warm regards, r
