Goanet Digest, Vol 3, Issue 171, under message number 5 dated Monday, 11 Feb 2008, subject: Act fast to REMOVE picture of PROPHET MOHAMMAD brings up exciting post. The writer of the message writes - I think in respect for the 5 or 6 of us on this site who are atheists and agnostics, Goanet must give us a break, and time to recuperate from these type of postings which have become a regular feature on Goanet. My mind has turned to utter mush reading this day in and day out, so much so that I am beginning to wonder if I have been mysteriously teleported to the 16th century. As a secular forum, Goanet must stop becoming a mouthpiece for such propaganda.
>From this very post I am inclined to study the relevance or correlations of three words used by the writer i.e. Atheists, Agnostics and teleported. To the best of my understanding Atheists or Atheism is characterized by an absence of belief in the existence of Gods. While Agnostics, as per learned Christian vicar, An agnostic thinks it impossible to know the truth in matters such as God and the future life with which Christianity and other religions are concerned Or, if not impossible, at least impossible at the present time. To yet another question, are agnostics atheists? Christian vicar answered: No. An atheist, like a Christian, holds that we can know whether or not there is a God. The Christian holds that we can know there is a God; the atheist, that we can know there is not. The Agnostic suspends judgment, saying that there are not sufficient grounds either for affirmation or for denial. At the same time, an Agnostic may hold that the existence of God, though not impossible, is very improbable; he may even hold it so improbable that it is not worth considering in practice. In that case, he is not far removed from atheism. His attitude may be that which a careful philosopher would have towards the gods of ancient Greece. If I were asked to prove that Zeus and Poseidon and Hera and the rest of the Olympians do not exist, I should be at a loss to find conclusive arguments. An Agnostic may think the Christian God as improbable as the Olympians; in that case, he is, for practical purposes, at one with the atheists. Now lets move on to third yet another interesting word - Teleportation - and try to understand what Teleportation is! Teleportation is the process of physically relocating the body from one place to another site without touching it in anyway, or using any mechanical device. Teleportation is often confused with out-of-body experiences (OBEs). We can experience teleportation during the dream state. It differs from regular dreams and lucid dreams in that your body physically leaves the bed and travels to another location on a different dimension. Teleportation can take place in three different ways. The first is a spontaneous teleportation. In second case, your physical body in teleportation physically relocates to the astral plane or other dimension. This memory of a true teleportation is clear and accompanied by recall of physical sensations. A consciously directed teleportation comprises the third group. Since your body has had many spontaneous teleportation experiences while dreaming, the night is a natural environment and time for the novice teleporter. (I could provide details on this aspect but due to space constrain could not provide in this massage) Going by three words used in the message under discussion it confused me .I am not sure how much Goanet members are confused ...unless members are used to such confusing messaging and showing the way to Ash Tray!!!!!! Even if I try to forget these three words I still get confused with one more line used in the message that reads - I think in respect for the 5 or 6 of us on this site who are atheists and agnostics, Goanet must give us a break, and time to recuperate from these type of postings which have become a regular feature on Goanet.... What does this line indicate? Does it not indicate that Goanet has hired 5 - 6 atheists and agnostics' person to write to net? OR does it indicate that writer is trying to tell Goanet that Goanet should not accept any more messages from that group? OR is it trying to tell Goanet not to accept any messages from any member other than a specific group comprising of 5 or 6? Interestingly I would like to pose a question to the writer of the message - Who are these 5 or 6 members in Goanet discussion forum? Or is this group of persons up in arms to say that - Goa's development has been blocked by ALL GODS - COMING ON ROADS, ALONG THE ROAD SIDES, and IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD & ON THE FENCE OF MOST HOUSES??? Or is the writer trying to say that discussion on GOD will hamper the growth of Goanet!!! What is it ..can any member in the net through light on messages brought under discussion? Best regards, Dr. U. G. Barad
