Digamber Kamat Has History of Using Goa Police to Haress Minorities
Dear Peace Loving Goans
The recent happenings where alleged government sponsored attrocities
committed through the corrupt Goa Police against the minorities in Goa and also
against innocent citizens who dare to raise its voice of justice against all
the loot and plunder that is going on by the Digamber Kamat led government has
come to light.
The Aam Aadmi facade that Digamber Kamat used to camouflage his defector
image is fast turning to be a myth.
The recent attack on an elected legislator and his family by the Goa Police
is a grave situation that shows how much Goa is being turned into a Delhi, UP
or a Bihar.
If an elected representative can be so badly attacked by using Government
sponsored state police force, then what is Digamber Kamat talking about aam
aadmi -- who is safe Mr Chief Minister?
The recent happenings only go on to prove that Digamber Kamat, when in power
uses Goa Police to achieve his selfish ends and uses the state police force to
commit attrocities on minorities and also to haress innocent and senior
citizens of the state.
Digamber when in power with the BJP would influence even the mamlatdars and
act through his hit man Mr Naik, who was then the CEO at Margao Municipality,
who incidently also threatened my family that he could use force through his
masters in the government if we didnt give in to the illegalities committed on
our land by Digamber's supporters.
Go back a couple of years when as a very powerful and influential BJP
minister, Digamber Kamat, in order to appease his supporters to grab ancestral
land at Aquem belonging to my family, had powered the Margao police who came to
my house in the dead of the night sans police batches and tried to arrest my
aged parents on a friday night, for denying the right to construct illegally on
our ancestral property by the weekend, by some encroachers who called
themselves mundkars. The encroachers and the police constantly used Digamber
Kamat's name to terrorise innocent family members.
Luckily, God sent for us, Adv Rajeev Gomes, Margao's renowned criminal
lawyer, and a school friend of mine, saved the day for my aged parents.
Today, we see the same type of a situation happening to a democratically
elected legislator and his family.
The Police beating up a young son and the wife of a MLA speaks volumes of the
ethics that they operate on.
I guess no legislator is safe in Goa, and if not a legislator, how can the
aam aadmi be safe, how can the aam aadmi get justice?
If there was any honour among the 40 legislators, they would resign
immediately in protest against the recent attrocities committed against one of
their own.
Who is safe in Goa? it is time the peace loving citizens come out in the open
to oust this dictator.
May I ask what ever happened to NGO's like LOK Shakti and the media-projected
saviours like Dr Colaco and Datta Naik? who ran to Baina to rescue the inmates
of the red light area when Parrikar was out to cleanse it?
Do we read inbetween the lines of the selfish and ulterior motives of the
NGOs?
Whatever happens, let the law of the land prevail, and let the corrupt power
brokers be shown the door.
Surprisingly, the stand taken by the state BJP and its leader Manohar
Porriker is to be highly appreciated in the better interest of the common man.
