I tend to agree with Averthan totally in what he has to say and I guess Miguel is over-reacting for reasons best known to him . Our press statement which has been blanked-out by the english language newspapers ( though we are not sure if the same has appeared in the vernaculars) states exactly what Averthan is saying.
The bit about 'criminals' being elected is the fact and if they were tried in the courts of law true to the letter and spirit that these laws are written down, most of our parliamentarians and state legislators would bite dust. Can we deny this, now?? floriano lobo goasuraj ----- Original Message ----- From: "Miguel Braganza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "GoaNet fred" <goanet@lists.goanet.org> Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 12:06 PM Subject: [Goanet] Breakdown of Rule of law in Goa. > Dear Averthanus, > > I read your letter to the editor in the local newspaper today.
