Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2008 14:54:35 +0300 From: "Vinay Natekar" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Goanet] Is Congress Party Secular ?
Vinay-bab's Response: Dear Miguel bab - Can you be more specific by your above statement and be audacious enough to name the person whom you are referring to as an incompetent or what-ever as my proxy and what axe he has to grind ? Otherwise please refrain from making such vague insinuations in any directions. I don't think I need a proxy to represent myself as long as I can take anybody head on. Miguel : If you have been following this thread you will notice that one Dr. Anand Virgincar was raising the issues on your behalf. Where is the question of audacity in stating the obvious and the well known? I fully agree with you that you DON'T NEED a proxy, specially one like Anand. ;-) Vinay's Response: You have already declared that my English is weak. So you have to accept whatever way I spell anybody's names. Miguel: Oops! I thought you had difficulty with "meanings". Sorry, I did not realise you had a disability with SPELLINGS , too. I have watched the film "Tare Zameen Par" I now understand that some people have such disabilities, often temporarily. No offence. YOU can spell my name the best way you can. I will understand. As an Examiner for a short while I was advised not to mark as "wrong" any answer that could be conveyed by the words used by the student. If a student wrote "I pikchure sawed 'Tare Zaminn Per' when I wented to Ponnji wid my famly." and I could guess what he did, he would get full marks. These were under-graduate students. Vinay's response: Like you I am also not staunch supporter of any party. But my revulsion for this Corrupt party is much stronger than my support for BJP. I support BJP since it is the only Party in India and Goa as well, who can counter the malpractices of Congress. I agree that BJP is not cent percent sanctified but you have to choose the lesser devil out of two. You are absolutely right that Political parties really do not matte in Goa. Take example of the Ranes (father and son), Dayanand Narvekar, Pandurand Madkaikar plus number of candidates who are winning the elections repeatedly given any party ticket by offering economic enticement to individuals or some local religious bodies like church committees, Temple Saunsthas or sports or cultural clubs. It is not their development work for their constituency that resulting in their election victory but the corruption has crept into our life to such an extent that voters do not look beyond their private gain by voting these candidates in return for personal favour obtained from these politicians. Vinay Miguel: We have a great degree of convergence on the above. I am a bit confused about your reference to Dayanand Narvekar [always a Congress MLA, though he was the MGP Vice-President in the 1970s and has shifted Constituencies, not parties , as far as I can recall], Vishwajeet Rane is a first time MLA and is still an Independent [ No party] as far as I know. Father Rane and Pandu bab have been party hopping like the youth do at New Year's time of from Mambo's to Tito's to Club Cubana ;-) It is the same scene everywhere! We will wind up here. The thread is geting boring. You can have the last word ..... so long as it is YES! ;-) Mog asundi. Miguel -- -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
