A BRITISH teenage girl found dead in India last week was MURDERED, her family believe. The body of Scarlett Keeling, 15, was discovered on a beach in Goa, with just a bikini top around her neck. Her bikini bottoms, shorts and shoes were discovered by her mum Fiona on a busy path two days later. Family friend Dakini Runningbear said: "The police say there is nothing to suggest rape or murder. "But a doctor who examined her body told us he suspected foul play. Several people have been killed here this season." Scarlett, of Devon, was on a six-month holiday with six siblings, her mum and mum's boyfriend. The teenager spent last Sunday evening at a cafe in Anjuna with her Indian boyfriend, but he left early. Scarlett's body was found on Monday morning. A Foreign Office spokesman said: "Police in Goa are investigating." The body of Scarlett Keeling, 15, was pulled from Anjuna beach in northern Goa last Monday. She was semi-naked, with a bikini top around her neck. Her mother found her bikini bottoms, shorts and shoes on a busy path two days later. Police in India said yesterday that initial tests showed no sign of foul play, and that they believed that Miss Keeling drowned. They are still waiting for the full results of a post-mortem examination. Nerlon Albuquerque, a police inspector in Anjuna, said: "The victim's mother approached us with the suspicion of murder and we are probing from all the angles.'' Dakini Runningbear, a friend of Miss Keeling's family, said yesterday: "The police say there is nothing to suggest rape or murder. But a doctor who examined her body told us he suspected foul play.
