The Chief Minister Digambar Kamat when contacted by Herald today confirmed the constitution of the task force and is to head the committee as Chairman. The Transport Minister Pandurang Madkaikar will be the Vice-Chairman. Other members include the Commissioner and Secretary Transport , Principle Chief Engineer - PWD, SP – Traffic, Law Secretary, Director Higher Education, Medical Superintendent - GMC, and Fatorda MLA Damodar Naik. The task force also includes three retired government officers - former Dy SP Zuwarkar, former ADT – Servo Fernandes and former education director Suman Pednekar. The task force also includes experts in he field of traffic and transport Dr Jagdish Kakodkar, Jagdish Wagh, Roland Martins and Gurunath Kelekar. The Director of transport is the member secretary.
