When equations tend to get a wee bit complicated and confusing, particularly
Parrikar's role in this whole "Feb 19 Black Episode", you need to simplify them
a bit. I shall try to do just that.

Day 1: Babush and his mob pelt stones at the Panjim Police Station.
Parrikar flies high on day one. He joins hands with the Police force and the
Government in gathering these very stones and together, they hurl them back at
Babush and the Mob. The Police later gather a few more stones and fling them at
Babush’s 2 mansions.

Day 2: Parrikar does a volte-face. He realizes that a wounded tiger can
help him win his battles and he must strike when the iron is hot. So how can he
wriggle out of the hole he has landed himself in? Simple! He gathers 100 more
stones, 90 of them are flung towards the Police, and 10 of them are directed,
not at Babush and the mob, but only at the mob. A miniscule section of people
like Anand Virgincar are fooled, or at least they pretend to act that way, but
the contradictions are evident to those who can put two and two together.

Days 3 and 4: Parrikar gathers a 100 more stones, hands them over to his
Party. His party hurls all of these at the Police, none directed at Babush. The
BJP’s cold war with the Police and the Government begins. Babush, the
“Enemy No 1” of day one is now the unfortunate victim No 1.

Day 5: Parrikar now involves the ladies to drive the Police into a corner.
Parrikar gathers a 100 more stones, hands them over to his party’s Mahila
Wing. They too hurl all of these at the Police, none directed at Babush. The
BJP and the Police are now at daggers drawn with each other and the
contradictions become even clearer.

Days 6 and 7: Parrikar gathers a 100 more stones, hands them over to his
Party’s Vice-President Keshav Prabhu who, with the support of the CCP
employees whom he heads, chucks all of these at the Police, none directed at
Babush. The writing on the wall is now bold and obvious to all and sundry, and
the contradictions prominent and striking.

Day 10: Parrikar gathers a 100 more stones, this time he paints them
saffron and hands them over to his Party’s Minority Cell Chairman Shaikh
Jina. Jina, while giving this incident a communal colour, also hurls all of
these at the Police, none directed at Babush. Parrikar puts one leg of his in
his own grave; even his most ardent supporters are now left with no place to
hide.
