To Goanet - As a rule, I don't respond to Jose Colaco. But I shall make a onetime exception.
>When I first encountered the images and passion of Rajan Parrikar, I >believed that this was a Goan with love for Goa, foresight and >non-partisanship; You were mistaken about the "non-partisanship" bit. I have been open about my political preferences from my earliest forays on Goanet. Almost exactly a year ago, I said so - http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2007-March/054889.html Now we find that a year later, Jose Colaco is vehemently agreeing with what I wrote on March 1, 2007 apropos of Manohar Parrikar. But he imagines me to be a partisan hack and he himself to be above it all. >Then it occurred to me that this gentleman was possibly a >semi-translucent individual with an agenda to get the BJP back into >power in Goa. It must be frightening having all that power I do. Imagine getting the BJP (a party I don't much care for) back into power on the strength of my photos and opinions on Goanet. Who knew! >If it is so ... WHY did Rajan Parrikar omit the name of Manohar >Parrikar from his post - esp when he included the name Digu? Because the date of approval cited on the board in that photograph clearly showed it to be post-Manohar Parrikar's time. Because Digu is the current CM who sits by while all this is going on around us. It is not as if I start out on my shoots every morning by scratching out from my list sites fraught with violations approved by Manohar P. To Jose Colaco and others like him who think that I have an ulterior political motive in posting photographs, I say: pick up your own cameras, go out and photograph violations that you know are Manohar Parrikar-approved. I will be happy to provide any logistical and/or financial support if required. While you are free to sit on your keyboard and whine about MY biases, better it would be if you went out and furnished a corrective.
