LIZ KEMP IS BACK! Sethu Trust and Jyot Society are delighted to welcome Elizabeth Kemp, a public artist who lives in Scotland and specializes in the design and implementation of visual arts projects. She has worked with small groups, communities and public agencies in a range of cultural settings. Liz will be conducting an art workshop for parents of children with special needs on 8th March at the Saligao Institute in Saligao. Liz was in Goa last year to train teachers at Sethu centre in the visual arts. Visual art has a vital contribution to make in stimulating creativity and encouraging personal confidence and it is important to ensure that children with special needs have full access to a range of art activities adapted to specific abilities and goals. This workshop for parents in basic visual art techniques will focus on empowering them to feel confident in using visual art with their special children and to enjoy the process of creativity. The workshop will run from 8.45 am to 1:15 pm on 8th March (Saturday). The registration fees are Rs. 50/- per parent and includes the cost of art materials and snacks.
