What is the point of admitting that "some mistakes were made". There must be some sort of atonement, reparations and holding people accountable for what was perpetrated. Accountability is a redundant or shoud I say, archaic word in Indian politics. Such gestures as taking questions from Goanetters is a shallow and frivolous attempt to propagandize at the cost of Goanet. Goanet is a privately owned mailing-list, and nowhere do I see a consultation with the owner about this venture. Mailing lists are not for free, but like everything else in India, one can bamboozle one's way into anything if one has the guile and gumption to do so. Parriker and the BJP are the Hamas of Goa. One cannot do business with the Hamas. I grew up in the desert. In the desert one doesn't trust horse-traders. They will lie and cheat at every opportunity. The first question to be posed to Parriker should be whether he will openly denounce Babush Monsterat and then hold himself to a pledge to never include him in a ministerial berth. Parriker will not do this because he needs Monsterat in the wider scheme of things, as does every stinking politico in Goa. NRI Goans, read Sandeep Heble's accounts of Parriker and you will have a better understanding of what Parriker actually is. Please don't be swayed by this quaint little "question and answer" session. In India everyone prepares for questions and answers by refering to a Guide book, rather than knowing something about life. selma ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
