Dear Goanet Readers, The death of Scarlette in Goa is making big time News Headlines in Britain. I had phone calls from a?couple of friends of mine who visit Goa regularly and others who wish to?visit in the near future with their families. They have been hearing?negative things about Goa of late.
Besides the drug problem,there are real concerns about garbage,stray animals,filthy beaches,corruption by cops,and so on. I have been reassuring them that Goa is still a safe place and all you hear is not true! But,the comments by our Chief?Minister and the news item in one of the prominent newspaper was?unbelievable. Basically,The Chief Minister was telling the tourists to visit Goa at their own PERIL! The most number of?tourists are from United Kingdom and the bad publicity will?affect the tourism industry very badly.??? It is well known fact that Goa is turning into a drug paradise and there is a nexus between the Drug pushers,cops and the politicians.It all boils down to Corruption .Congress Government has a bad record on Good governance, Crime and Corruption and nothing is change?in the near future except the bank balances of the Politicians.
