Fashion goes Goa 8 Mar 2008, 0000 hrs IST,TNN Wendell Rodricks (TOI Photo) When designer Wendell Rodricks recently showcased his collection for the Lakme Fashion Week in Delhi, he got a little bit of Goa into the city. That's because his collection – the Lakme Tropical Island collection – has been inspired by summer and Goa. "The collection is a celebration of summer. It's very vibrant and colourful," said Wendell. "I have taken that further as I come from the resort state of Goa and the theme is almost an extension of my style. For me, it is like converting sheer luxury into garments." While Amrit Maghera and Vipasha Agarwal modelled the summery clothes, Anil Chopra, VP, Lakme Unilever, and South African make-up artist Brendon watched on. Anil said, "Lakme has always understood Indian women and their beauty needs and worked towards creating products that suit their skin tones and their personality. With this new collection, Lakme brings a burst of colours to dress up the urban diva with tropical soul."
