I agree we should loudly applaud the philanthropist

As Jerry seems to fondly believe and does insist.

But what I would really like to see,

Is not so much just aid and charity,

But government working together WITH the NRG.

Such an alliance will provide for immense synergy

If it works to help the vulnerable in the community –

Those who lack an education

To improve in life their station,

But seek financial resources and may be a college degree.

Dear Shanti Dhoot ?

Thank heavens for the philanthropists
Whose names must be already on Heavenly List,
It?s the charity work they do
Who they help they don?t look
Only if our politicians did their little bit.

Cheers

Jerry Fernandes

I must confess to my respondent Jerry

That it is indeed worrisome and even scary

That politicians are generally cynics

And don't think of computer clinics,

But rather of lining their pockets and making merry.

But surely there is out there some altruistic, big-hearted NRG,

Imbued with a sense of social responsibility and philanthropy,

Who will finance some selfless local soul,

And let him or her manage and control

A pilot clinic where computer lessons are given virtually free.
