Dear Netters
With the present Murder case doing its rounds not only on Goanet but also on
international papers, some of which has been read by goanetters thanks to Gabe,
and others, I wonder where the murder of this poor girl who was crushed to
death stands. The british girl knew where her life was leading, but not this
girl. The british girl had no dreams or maybe her dreams were to be the
greatest zombie on earth. But this poor girl must have had great dreams hence
she was going for tuitions maybe to secure best percentage in her SSC exams.
The poor Goan girl was only one year elder to the British Girl but when
compared to news, it seems the British girl was more human, than the Goan girl.
What a pity.
The way the news has been going for the British girl, the Goan girl seems
invisible. Will she too get much better news coverage and the truck driver
punished as severely as the person involved with the British girls murder?
God rest her soul.

Rawanfond girl crushed to death
---------------------------------
A pall of gloom descended on Rawanfond area after a
16-year old girl student was crushed under the wheels
of a loaded truck at Rawanfond on Wednesday afternoon.
A student of Rosary High School, Navelim, young Jessila
Carvalho as usual was heading towards Navelim on her
cycle for the afternoon tuitions in view of the fast-approaching
SSC examinations, when she was knocked down by the truck
from behind. The girl was run over by the truck when she came
under the rear wheels. She breathed her last on the spot.
A team of Margao police personnel had to face the wrath of
the agitated locals as they came late to the accident site. Locals
alleged that one of the constables was under the influence of
liquor, an allegation later denied by police officials.
Sources said the young girl was busy preparing herself to answer
her forthcoming SSC examination when fate proved otherwise.
PI Santosh Dessai and PSI Navlesh Dessai rushed to Rawanfond
upon hearing the news and to keep the tension at bay.The body
was later shifted to the Hospicio hospital for post mortem
examination.
PI Santosh informed that a case has been registered against the
truck driver for rash and negligent driving causing the death of
the young girl. The driver, however, has got himself admitted
in a private hospital for some ailment.
