We should understand that the survey did not question the respondents only
about India. They were asked to give their opinion about other countries like
Great Britain, Russia, China, Japan, etc. And there were five other countries
that scored better than India in the survey.
I am told that such surveys are done quite scientifically. Despite that,
surveys do make mistakes, some horrible ones also. However, I doubt that in
this case the mistake would be such that instead of being the 6th best, the
Americans view India as the 6th worst.
