Dears,

Thanks for the video link to the programme on NDTV website:

I just watched that programme again to see the edited version that was
telecast. Former Radio Officer turned wannabe Politician, Floriano Lobo, and
expat-repatriate Vivian D'Souza [formerly Shenzi66] have filed in some ringside
reports of "The People" who .... or the exchange that .... did not make it to
the TV screen due to various factors prime among them the short AIR TIME and
the HIDDEN AGENDA of Barkha Dutt/ndtv as can be seen from the change of the
title from "SUN, SAND and SNORT" to "SUN, SAND and MURDER" and the focus on
the "Insider-Outsider" issues of SEZ and the "Sale of land to outsiders" issue
of the REGIONAL PLAN 2011 that kept bobbing like flotsam in the turbulent
waters of the murky discussion near "Marina" shack, near TITO's. Where else?.
If you think those last words are subtle advertisement, just watch the
programme at the above link!

  Mog asundi.

Much more was expected in this show, that every Goan looked forward to. But,
sadly, Barkha who is my favourite anchor, must have surely got carried away
with the Baga Sun and Sand and miserably missed the 'line and length' of this
crucial debate.

I could see Alex Rasquinha, the former no non-sense Supdt of Police in the
audience. But, sadly he was hardly given a chance to express his mind on the
issue. If given, i am sure, he would definetly hit right on target without
mincing any words.

I felt i was cheated after watching the programme. I expected there would be
more focus on the drug-mafia angle to the killing, and suggestions would be put
forth and solutions would be found to Goa's downsliding northern coastal belt
that has become a haven for drug peddlers, addicts, paedophiles, prostitution,
extortion and our Goan youth that have reached a point of no return.

whatever, may be the outcome of the case, let the law take its own course, one
thing for sure....The Scarlett murder.. will forever change the way we and the
world look at tourism in Goa. Whether the outcome will be good or bad, that
time will tell...there is a limit to everything though. that's my humble
opinion.
