Yesterday, the NDTV News-India TV channel showed
footage of a sting operation. I didn't see the programme
but I understand that it had two independent sources
(including a police official) claiming that Home Minister
Ravi Naik's son Roy Naik is involved in the criminal and
illegal narcotics drug trade in Goa.
Today's (Wed) edition of Tarun Bharat carried a small
front page report of the same.
An investigation must be demanded and Ravi Naik
should step down immediately as Home Minister until
the entire inquiry is complete. Amghe Rayi's vituperative
reaction to Fiona MacKeown's charges must be seen
in the light of these developments.
Why has no English language daily reported this?
Intimidation or pressure brought on by the Kangress
honchos?
