Good Friday.
We went to Rachol this year as I had been there when I was very young.
We wanted to capture the whole thing including the procession but this year in
Goa it started raining heavily just before 6pm and it still did not completely
stopped even after 10pm.
However, at Raia, they did bring out the procession around 7pm
Video clips also coming up soon. there is a little bit from Nuvem and Raia
church.
Don't miss to watch the clip- the Good Friday Services at Rachol, I found it
unique, not all chuches do that..life size image of Jesus --see how they bring
down from the cross etc

On Good Friday, My mom used to give me just loose 25 paise i.e. 15p to Jesus
and 10p to Our Lady. But inorder to buy some 'boje' outside the church, I put
10p to Jesus and 5p to OL and the remaining 10p I used to buy hot hot 'Boje' or
'Bojim'. Those day one could get 5 boje for 10p.
I look for bojekar at Rachol, there was one with plastic cover due to heavy
rains - but no Boje. Again we looked for boje at Raia church, but we found 5
bhelpuriwalas instead (closer to the church) making brisk business. I did
manage to find one in the end.
