That due to the negligent of the officials of BDO Quepem the record room of
Quepem mamaltdar submerged under water thereby affecting important document
including electronic voting machines stored in the room.
That yesterday night it seems that the officials of BDO Quepem negligent
kept the tap in their office which is fixed inside the office on, which
resulted in flooding the entire second floor of the collectorate building. The
office of BDO, PWD water resource, Dy-collector , mamlatdar filled with water.
That in the morning session the entrance of the mamlatdar office was flooded
with water. The most affected is the store room of the Mamlatdar office which
is on the second floor of the said building.
As the store room is at a lower level entire room submerge under water. When
this correspondent visited the store rooms water at a height of 2 inches were
seen filled in the said room and woman labourers were seen removing the water
by using buckets . That the entire strore room is filled with all the
disposes files, other important document and the electronic voting machines .
The most affected documents are those which are there on the floor kept in jute
bags.
Meanwhile a mining truck proceeding from Curchorem to Quepem while
negotiating with the turn dashed the compound wall of the Collectorate
building and damaged 4 mts compound wall causing loss to the government to the
turn of Rs.10,000/-.
