Hi John, when growing up, one heard the movers and shakers (after the transition in the 60-70s, there were a lot of talk of days gone by because during the transition, there is so much uncertainty and mistrust) talk about Agent Monteiro. To get more information, it would take a couple of visits to a bunch of 'movers and shakers'. Unfortunately, these folks do not do e-mails and am sure Dr. T will get you the whole story. This plot (though personal in nature for you) warrants a film treatment no? Yo Subash Gai, you listening (he is the only big producers with a Goa connection)!
Yes, there are a bunch of holes in versions of what happened during the transition and it would warrant some documentation (one understands there are documents and newspaper reports) but likely tainted no? And for those in the history business: apparently there is a large gap in recorded history (I am told, and this is peeking my curiosity) around 1800-1900.
