Don't worry, Goa is safe: Digambar tells Russian envoy PANJIM: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, on March 31, assured Consul General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, Alexander V Mantystsky, that Goa is a safe destination for tourists and that the government would come down heavily on those indulging in criminal activities including the narcotic drugs trade in the state. Mantysky had called on the Chief Minister at his official residence at Altinho yesterday morning and apprised him of the "insecurity" being faced by Russians in Goa. [GT]
