Dear Goanet Readers

I am not going to use any superlative words to congratulate Rajan on the above
issue. It shows how?even a single, determined soul can achieve anything if there
is a will and genuine concern. How nice it would be, if those who only
criticize and complain when others do something good, to join the fight even if
they are not invited to do so? Does one need an invitation to clean ones own
house? It is called civic sense. It is called?community sense. Well, it depends
on ones upbringing and what one is?taught in life. Some people are happy
keeping their own house clean but dump the rubbish in somebodys yard. Why it
should bother them as it is in somebody's yard.If somebody takes an initiative
and volunteers to clean up, he must be having ulterior motives or something to
gain!

Those who have been dragging Manohar Parrikars name in the above issue, all i
can say is that he is not?the only resident?of Panjim. The governor, Chief
secretary and all the VIPs either live in Panjim or are?frequent visitors on a
daily basis. Parrikar is not only busy as the leader of opposition, but he is
partly running the government as well, as the the present govt. is virtually
non-functioning!

Goans have been and are very sensitive on issues like?open garbage, urinating,
defecating and spitting in Public. It is not a part of their culture. To put it
in the words of Goans-?We have enough ghatis and we do not want our culture to
be ghatified-.???

No matter where you go and what you do, dont forget your motherland. Rajan, you
have inspired many of us!?????

Cheers

Dr. Anesimo Fernandes
