Dear Albert,

Thanks for your writeup. Yes the education in Goa is going down hill with many
of the youth giving up on education after reaching 5th std as they cannot learn
the english which is taught from there on. It is easier to teach an younger
mind, but by 5th std, the mind is already corrupted and what we call botto is
what we get.

Since the time the education was switched to konkani ( devanagri) medium its
the youth of Goa who have suffered. What could have been the motive? maybe the
guys who thought of this switch were futuristic thinkers of Goa, and had
assumed this situation will prevail, and hence gradually they can start
devanagri upto higher grades, where by depriving the minorities of education?
and make Goa a prosperous state only for the majority?????????

No wonder many private English medium schools are cropping up in Goa, but only
the people with money will be able to afford sending their children to these
schools. But in the end, will they be able to get Government jobs????

Years back, Nehru the first Prime Minister of India had said that Goa is a land
of Ayas, cooks and buttlers, well seems his words will be true after all even
for the future???????

Cheers
