They do not even have the intellecual courage to admit that they were wrong about a lot of things they have been propagating over the years. They have a special place for MP , do they ? Well , WE GOANS , whether Catholic , Hindu , Muslim or any other faith have a very very special spot for : # Those who sermonise to us Goans when they know nothing about the Goan political or social structure ( however much they may know about the US dollar and the gold bullion market ). # Those who have no understanding of or any respect whatsoever for religions other than their own....let alone any knowledge of the scriptures of other faiths. # Those who consider their faith more important than Goa or Goans ( and think that Goa belongs solely to people of their faith ) # Those who are more Portuguese , Hindustani or Pakistani than they are Goan # And finally , those who see imaginary communal snakes when it is obvious to any rational human being that MP is making a sincere attempt to reach out to all communities irrespective of religion and caste. That very very special spot is called Takka baanya. It is just opposite Sharmad's house and on the Ghodyavadi road leading off Rua de Abade Faria. If those who are writing all the foul stuff know Konkani ( which I doubt ) or know anything about Goa , other than the beaches , the feni and the fish ....or what they know of Goa from Google or Wikipedia , it should not be difficult for them to find their holy grail.
