Well, today, we had gone to attend 2nd Annual Summer Festival 08 at Ponda orgainised by St. Anne’s Church club, Ponda-Goa. The show was to start at 6.30 but started around 7pm with Band Cascade playing live. There was a Konkani Musical Programe by Anthony San, his Daughter-Clarrisa, C. D Silva, Ivy etc. Star of the attraction was none other than the widow of Goa’s Melody King ‘ Rita Rose’ There was a signature campaign organized by the club (circulated to all) requesting the Goa CM Digambar to name the Kala Academy Open Air Auditorium (Panji) after the Goa’s one and only Melody King Late Alfred Rose. Last year, the star of the attraction was ‘Lorna’ video clips/3 songs were also screened on the giant TV screen. Chief guest was Ravi Naik. We left at 9.15pm and arrived home at 11pm after a brief stop for ‘Kopachem and dinner’.
