To Goanet - I may have mentioned here that I have put in requests for information under the RTI Act in around 35 village panchayats in Goa. Most of these are located in Bardez and Tiswadi, a few others in Salcette and Ponda.
Today I was at the Reis Magos panchayat to collect the requested documents when I discovered quite by accident yet another concrete atrocity about to take off. The construction license has been issued by the panchayat just about a month ago - on March 13, 2008. I will be getting certified copies of the papers pertaining to this project tomorrow, but what's the @%$#% use? Try this for size: the Villa Paradiso eyesore visible from Panjim will soon have a new brother, not too far from the Reis Magos church. Mrs Ahuja and Mr Singh are happy. Are you, too, Goemkaar-bab?
