I was very interested to read Edwardingoa's recipe. He may like to know that many years ago, the Curry Club in London were very keen to order Bombay duck pickle from my wife. It is a real delicacy, and they used to reserve it for their Christmas hampers. I remember taking several jars of this pickle to their Covent Garden shop; in one of the issues of their Curry Club magazine, they'd given this item a favourable write up. Having now taken up an allotment, where we grow our own fruit and veg, the Bombay duck has taken a "back seat" ! I could give a lot more 'gen' on the British craze for Bombay Duck when I get back to my Sutton manyatta(we are currently spending a few days with our daughter and grandchildren at Hove(Sussex).
