BALLERINE'S HAS PROVED IT AGAIN On 18th April 2008,
the students of Ballerines proved their excellence once again emerging as
winners at the KIDCHAMP 2008 conducted by the Kanajar Welfare Association
Kuwait, at Masrah Hawally Auditorium, in both the junior as well as senior
category. The judges of the evening were Veteran Bharatnatyam artist Dr Francis
Barboza, director of Satyaradhana Arts USA, Mr Vijay Barboza, Sr Mary Darshini
of Carmel School, Lekha Ramachandran of Indian Central School and Nupur Sharma
of Gulf Indian School Fahaheel.
Dr.Francis Barboza the chief guest of the day appreciated all the
participants and complimented them for all their efforts and hard work. He was
highly impressed with the quality and output of the students. It is indeed a
big task to dance to perfection and please not only the judges but also to the
audience. All the finalists exhibited their true passion for dance in various
forms.
In the junior category out of the 5 finalists 3 participants were from the
Ballerines and Rovita Dsouza was declared the champ. The other participants in
this category were Sharen Dsouza, Natasha Dsouza, Vanessa Castelino and
Anusha Fernandes.
In the senior category, Melissa Fernandes emerged as the winner.
In the classical category, Tejaswini Vani was declared the winner.
All the finalists were honoured with medals and the winners with individual
trophies by Dr Francis Barboza
Hats off them. All the participants showed great enthusiasm and the energy
level was simply superb. We wish all of them the very best in the future. May
God always shower his choicest blessings on each and every one of them.
