Dr Helecar, I'm no expert in Maths, let alone Vedic Maths. I was just responding to your comment that "Science and mathematics are universal". I don't have the faith enough to make such a comment, and I believe every field of human endeavour is shaped by the context in which it grew. Including the so-called "natural" and "hard" sciences. FN
Maths has gender bias (one only needs to google). And race bias too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-racist_mathematics Just today, I was reading that Marco Polo 'discovered' China. To believe that knowledge -- whether the Sciences or the social sciences -- is not born and nurtured in its social context is to undertake a leap of blind faith. Sorry, but I don't have the faith to swear by such a belief. FN 2008/4/27 Santosh Helekar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Science and mathematics are universal.
