KLE hospital signs MoU with Apollo Victor Staff Correspondent

Belgaum: The city KLE Society's Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical
Research Centre joined hands with Goa-based Apollo Victor Hospital to
extend services in cardiology and cardiac thoracic-vascular surgery to
people at an affordable cost.

A memorandum of understanding was signed at a function held in
presence of Managing Director Apollo Victor Hospital Victor Albuquare
and KLE Society Chairman Prabhakar.

Senior officials of the KLE hospital were also present on the occasion.

According to the memorandum of understanding, both the partners will
use their potential strength to provide world-class medical care to
tourists visiting Goa. The joint venture will provide a boost to
"medical tourism" in the region with the support of KLES Hospital and
MRC.

Apart from cardiac sciences, the focus will be on cosmetic surgery,
joint replacement surgery and dental treatment.

The vast knowledge and expertise of KLES Medical Science Institutions
will be utilised to focus on academic courses such as DNB (super
specialty), cardiac/other technology courses in association with the
Apollo Victor Hospital. While priority will be given to prevention of
cardiac diseases, there will be a special focus on yoga, stress
management and lifestyle modification. Ayurvedic services

Ayurvedic services will be another system in KLE-Victor association.

The Apollo hospital will handover medical equipment, space and
manpower of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Department to KLES Heart
Foundation, Belgaum. The foundation will share and update technology,
medical management and technical know-how with Apollo Victor Hospital.
