PANAJI: Out of power in Goa since 2005, the BJP has hit upon a novel
idea to corner the Congress-led government.
For a fortnight now, the party has been selling onions, oil and
coconuts below the market price to highlight price rise. The campaign
has certainly made a lot of families happy, but the traders are
outraged.

The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, is setting up a task force
to tackle the global food crisis. Mr Ban said the world faced "widespread
hunger, malnutrition and social unrest on an unprecedented scale" because of
soaring food prices
